Welcome back to the twisted animated world of Tim: an ordinary guy who makes a habit out of misunderstanding. HBO presents Season Two of this adults-only animated series about an average guy who can't seem to catch a break. On the surface, Tim is a nice, even-keeled New Yorker who seeks success at work and happiness in his relationship with his girlfriend Amy. But in Tim's world, the simplest day-to-day decisions always seem to get in his way thanks to his habit of befriending a collection of bizarre and unreliable characters, including local hooker Debbie, Tim's rule-bending boss, the boss's obnoxious assistant Rodney, and Tim's best friend Stu who should not be giving advice to anyone, ever. The Life And Times Of Tim gets second season
The series was created by Steve Dildarian , and is about a hapless man in his mids named Tim voiced by Dildarian who lives in New York City with his girlfriend Amy. Throughout the series, Tim constantly finds himself in increasingly awkward situations in both his work and personal life. The first season aired in and has since been aired in numerous countries, and has developed a cult following. The second season debuted on February 19, on HBO. On June 4, , HBO announced it was canceling the show. There were rumors that it was going to be picked up by another network.
What Are You Watching? A different reviewer for this site previously described the show as a mix of Seinfeld and Office Space , which also feels apt. By the second season, Dildarian and his writers, including co-star Nick Kroll, had nailed the rhythm, chasing seemingly innocuous requests with disaster, then quickly resetting for the next burst of absurdity. The plainly-sketched animation was in a style similar to Home Movies and Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. Episodes aired back to back on Sunday nights, kicking off with premises as superficially ordinary as the protagonist before devolving into bacchanals or international incidents there was rarely a middle ground. As the bemused figure at the center of growing chaos, Tim cuts a sympathetic figure.
