I was staying in the Mid-Levels and decided to wander down the hill to get on the tram to Victoria Peak which wasn't working, btw when I stumbled upon this lovely set of gardens with a small zoo featuring mainly monkeys, orangutans, turtles and birds It was not on my sightseeing list but sometimes my taking the road less traveled results in a nice visit to someplace new and different. This was surprisingly A lovely visit. They have fantastic birds and it would be a great place to take children. Steep hill to get there! After living in Hong Kong for a whopping 7 years, I never came to this place, shame on me! As long as your expectation is muted, you will enjoy it. The animals are spread about, kept in cages. I highly recommend finding some time, on a less humid day to walk around and enjoy the zoo and gardens right in the middle of our city! Accessibility is super convenient.
