The University also reserves the right to look beyond the basic academic credentials to grant admission to applicants, when an applicant possesses special talents and accomplishments that will contribute to the institutional program. Distance education courses offered by South Carolina State University may require students to complete an examination in a proctored environment to confirm the students' identity. There is no charge for exams proctored in the Assessment Center on campus.
