I recently noticed their line of Ice Cream Shoppe flavors and decided to purchase the Hot Fudge Sundae variety for her. She is a big fan of these toaster pastries and is an ice cream lover as well, so I was fairly confident that she would enjoy this product. The pictures on the front of the box are certainly very inviting. In addition to a very sweet and tasty looking pastry, there is a mouth watering hot fudge sundae with all the fixings right in the center. These illustrations surely entice children to ask their parents to add this item to the shopping cart. I am an adult and I was inspired to purchase this product simply by the visual appeal. The marketing department behind this packaging design definitely scored a winner with this one.

This is my attempt at making a full-fledged pie out of them. They are technically already little hand pies, but I wanted to try to recreate the flavor as a kind of traditional pie, complete with a chocolate double crust. Afterwards I thought it might be fun to try to make other Pop Tart flavors, too. I didn't see this one anywhere so I thought I'd combine several recipes I found to make what I thought was reminiscent of what I remember tasting as a kid. I also needed to add a little bit more water in order to get the consistency I needed.
