The Final Chapter: The End in the End
Everyone who escaped before the bomb went off on the Jeffersonian's forensic platform is milling around outside, taking stock of the gutted building, reuniting with friends, and wondering how to get to Brennan, Booth, Hodgins, and Angela, trapped inside. Aubrey tells Saroyan and Vaziri that they don't have Kovac; he had taped a decoy cell to a delivery van. Inside the Jeffersonian, Booth searches for Brennan and has to lift debris off her. She opens her eyes, coughs, and immediately realizes that something is wrong with her. Booth reminds her she was going to the bone lab for evidence in Fred Walden's remains that would help them find Kovac -- she finds a note in her lab coat pocket that reads: femur, scapula, ulna, mandible. While Hodgins and Booth look for a way out or for a way to contact search and rescue, Brennan uses a beaker and a stethoscope to check for a heartbeat in Angela's fetus.
