Missing dragons, horny Wildings, escaped hostages and reckless assassinations keep Thrones characters busy. Oh no, what just happened? I had sex with a Wildling. Or maybe I just tied her up. Or I lost my dragons, or I had somebody killed, or have just become fertile. How dare they escape?

At the beginning of this season, I wondered who would emerge as the new center of Game of Thrones , now that Ned Stark was dead. In Theon, we see not only the attractions of power but its dangers; the comforts of family and its limitations; the importance of loyalty and its complications.
