Sign in. David Oyelowo Don't Let Go , Selma fills in the blanks on his career, including one credit he wishes he could get a do-over on. Watch now. Title: Seahorse Seashell Party 02 Oct A storm hits the towns of Stoolbend, Quahog and Langley Falls. To help pass the time and calm his nerves, Brian consumes some questionable substances and has trouble sobering up. Meanwhile, Meg goes off the deep end after the family takes one too many jabs at her.

What I have learned over the years is that Family Guy is much easier to watch if you remember that it is a cartoon and that none of its characters are real. That's not to say I haven't been offended at times; Family Guy's portrayal of religion and the Deep South in particular have been truly offensive. But they don't hold a candle to the most recent episode, Seahorse Seashell Party. In this episode, Meg finally forces Peter and Lois to see what horrible parents they are; she manages to reduce both to tears. While I will admit that seeing Meg call Lois a whore she has a point and pointing out that if there was anyone in the world who cared, Peter would be in jail for the way he treats her was immensely satisfying, the ending sort of soured it for me. Following Meg's verbal beatdown of her parents she did it to Chris too, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference , Lois, Chris and Peter all start viciously laying into each other. Eventually, Meg and Brian are left alone in the living room and they start to talk, and Meg comes to the realization that the family needs her as a target for abuse in order to function.

Meg has been the permanent butt of an endless string of jokes for six seasons, wearing out the crutch so completely that it barely registers any kind of laugh. The cutaway counter was far lower this week than for the premiere, with the Griffins basically just stuck in their house during the hurricane. The television gets knocked out, so they only have each other to talk to, and eventually, they start going after each other, before they just start to lay into Meg, as always. Check again. Peter has always received free rein to do anything he wanted in the show without moral repercussions, so when Meg finally gets fed up with her family piling on her for the umpteenth time, it would seem logical for her to turn on her father, the ringleader.

Director : Brian Iles. When the television goes out leaving the Griffins housebound during a hurricane, Brian decides to ingest psychedelic mushrooms. Meanwhile, the rest of the family is bored and insult Meg. When Brian starts to trip out he leaves and is followed by Stewie who observes him cutting off his own ear. Patching him up, Stewie sticks by Brian while he trips, seeing weird and disturbing things. While Peter hums along to the opening theme from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade , Meg opens a can of soda and the resulting noise makes Peter snap at her. When she turns on him, both Lois and Chris chime in and she turns on them, pointing out their own faults.

It seems today that all you see Is violence in movies and sex on TV But where are those good old-fashioned values On which we used to rely? Lucky there's a family guy Lucky there's a man who positively can do All the things that make us Laugh and cry He's a Fam ily Guy! Our top story tonight, we continue to track the progress of Hurricane Flozell. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Hurricane Advisory, and is urging everyone to stay indoors for at least the next 36 hours. What happened?! The wind must have knocked the satellite dish loose.

Stand Back! Fox: You know, I've debated whether or not to review this episode for a long time. A lot of the reason I've steered clear from it is mainly because this is one of those Family Guy episodes that pisses me off. In fact, I can say that about damn near every Family Guy episode in recent memory. Hell, I talked about one that tried to find comedy in domestic abuse. And for as bad and reprehensible as that one was, Seahorse Seashell Party may just be on par with that one.
